Career Suite Bad Job Bingo
Job Evaluation Tool

Bad Job Bingo

Score job listings for red and yellow flags — or flip to Green Flags mode to spot the positives — using a checklist refined over 10+ years in CX and tech. Get an instant verdict so you can make smarter decisions about where to spend your energy.

🎲 Open Bad Job Bingo

What is it?

Bad Job Bingo started as a personal system for surviving a brutal job search. After years of watching red flags get ignored — by candidates and by hiring managers — it became a structured tool anyone could use.

The tool randomly deals a 5×5 bingo card drawn from a pool of 90+ curated warning signs in job postings: vague responsibilities, suspiciously wide salary ranges, "we're a family here" culture-speak, AI replacement signals, and many more. Each square is rated either a red flag (serious concern) or a yellow flag (reason for caution). Mark the squares you spot and the tool gives you a verdict. Flip to Green Flags mode to score the positives instead — things like transparent salary ranges, clear growth paths, and genuine culture signals. You can shuffle for a fresh card, edit any square to fit your situation, or save evaluations to your account.

How it works

1
Name the job Type in the company and role title so you can keep track of which listing you're evaluating.
2
Mark the squares Read through the job posting and mark each bingo square you spot. Red flag squares are serious concerns; yellow flag squares are caution signals.
3
Get your verdict The tool tallies your flags in real time and assigns a verdict ranging from Green Means Go all the way to Seriously, Maybe Don't.
4
Share or save Screenshot your results or export them to share with friends, Discord servers, or just your own notes.

The verdicts

🟢 Green Means GoNo flags found — looks clean!
🟡 Eh, It's Probably FineA few yellow flags only
🟠 Tread CarefullyMix of flags — go in with questions
🔴 BINGO — 5+ flagsMajor warning signs present
🚩 Seriously, Maybe Don'tAll red flags or a lot of them

Important context

A Bad Job Bingo score isn't a veto. It's information. A role that wins Bingo might still be the right move for you — and a Green Means Go job might not be the right fit. The verdicts are Steph's personal shorthand, not universal truths. Take what resonates, leave what doesn't, and always make it your own.

Job Comparison Tool

Bad Job Bingo
Tracker

Run Bad Job Bingo on your whole pipeline at once. Track multiple listings, compare up to three side-by-side, score for red, yellow, and green flags, and add notes — all in one place.

📋 Open the Tracker

What is it?

Bad Job Bingo (the original tool) is great for evaluating one job at a time. But what about when you're actively searching and juggling five, ten, or twenty listings at once?

The Bad Job Bingo Tracker is the multi-job version. You add each job you're considering, run the full 90-item evaluation for each one, and switch between them instantly from the toolbar. A view toggle lets you switch between Red & Yellow Flags and Green Flags — so you can score what's wrong and what's right about each job. A compare mode lets you put up to three evaluations side-by-side — verdict, flag counts, and every marked entry — so you can weigh opportunities directly against each other.

How it works

1
Add your jobs Enter each job listing you want to evaluate — company name, role title, and any notes about where you found it.
2
Score each one For each job, work through the Bad Job Bingo checklist and check off the flags you see in the job description.
3
Switch and compare Jump between jobs instantly from the toolbar dropdown. Activate Compare mode to view up to three evaluations side-by-side — verdicts, flag counts, and marked entries — so you can weigh them directly.
4
Export when you're ready Use the Export button to copy a structured text summary to clipboard, download a full CSV, or print a formatted version of the evaluation to save or share.

Key features

📊
At-a-glance comparison See all your jobs ranked by flag count, so the worst offenders are immediately obvious.
📝
Notes per job Add context, links, deadlines, or anything else you want to remember about each opportunity.
🔍
Filter & search Filter entries by status — all, marked only, red flags only, or yellow flags only — and search by keyword to find exactly what you need.
Green Flags view Toggle between Red & Yellow Flags and Green Flags to score both what's wrong and what's right about each job.
Pro tip: Use the Tracker early in your search to quickly triage a batch of listings. Then move the ones worth pursuing into Job Queue to manage the full application process.
Career Suite Job Queue
Job Search Management

Job Queue

A visual Kanban board for your entire job search. Move cards through the pipeline from first research all the way to offer, compare offers side-by-side, and track every deadline. Everything in one board.

📌 Open Job Queue

What is it?

Job searching is project management. You have leads to research, applications to send, interviews to prepare for, and outcomes to track — all at the same time, across dozens of companies.

Job Queue brings a Kanban-style board to your search. Each job lives on a card you drag through columns as it progresses. Company research goes in the first column; active applications live in the middle; final outcomes — offers, rejections, withdrawals, and ghostings — land at the end. Cards store the recruiter's contact info, your applied date, salary or offer details, notes, tags, checklists, and links.

Beyond the board, you get five additional views. A List view shows all your cards in a scannable table. A Stats view shows your pipeline at a glance: how many roles you've researched and applied to, your interview conversion rate, salary and offer amounts visualized by chart, and a full outcome breakdown. A Deadlines view groups all your upcoming and overdue dates so nothing slips. A Timeline view plots your applications chronologically by month so you can see the shape of your search over time. And an Offers view lets you log and compare offers side-by-side — base salary, bonus, equity, PTO, remote policy, health benefits, and more — so you can weigh your options with everything in one place. A filter shelf lets you narrow cards by any tag group — BJB rating, location, job type, discipline, salary range, source, interview stage, company type, and more, including your own custom tags. And when you're ready to zoom out, the export modal lets you copy a structured summary to clipboard, download a full CSV, or open your pipeline in Claude AI for help with strategy, interview prep, or deciding where to focus next.

Job Queue supports optional sign-in to sync your board across devices — but everything is saved locally too, so it works offline without an account.

Career Suite Brag Board
Self-Advocacy Tool

Brag Board

A running record of your wins, kudos, and accomplishments — captured when they happen, ready whenever you need them. Because "I can't remember anything specific" is not an answer at review time.

Open Brag Board

What is it?

Support workers are notoriously bad at advocating for themselves. We spend our days solving other people's problems and documenting their issues — and then completely fail to document our own accomplishments.

The Brag Board is a Kanban-style board for capturing professional wins as they happen. Customer kudos, metric achievements, de-escalations, cross-team collaborations, skills leveled up — everything lives in organized, searchable cards. Tag wins by time period (Q1, Q3, specific months), set an impact level (High / Medium / Low), and pin your top achievements so they always surface first.

A dedicated Stats view lets you track quantitative metrics — CSAT, ticket volume, FCR, response times — with a full entry history, trend indicators, and optional targets. A Deadlines view keeps performance review submissions and project milestones from sneaking up on you. Multi-board support means you can keep separate boards by role, quarter, or review cycle. A filter shelf gives you fine-grained control — narrow by tag group (Feedback Type, Learning, Initiative, Recognition Type, Work Type), impact level, period, pinned status, or custom tags. And when the time comes, use Ask Claude for Insights to get help writing your self-review, finding themes, building talking points, or spotting gaps — then export to PDF, CSV, clipboard, or a shareable read-only link.

Like Job Queue, the Brag Board supports optional sign-in to sync across devices — but everything is saved locally too.

The board categories

💬
Customer Feedback Direct compliments, CSAT scores, survey responses, and positive interactions that reflect your work.
🌟
Kudos Shout-outs from managers, peers, or other teams — internal recognition of any kind.
🤝
Collaboration Cross-functional wins: projects with product, eng, or other teams where you made a real impact.
Tasks & Projects Significant work completed — process improvements, documentation, training, initiatives.
📚
Skills Things you've learned, certifications earned, tools mastered, or areas of growth.
📈
Stats & Metrics Track CSAT, FCR, ticket volume, handle time, and more in the dedicated Stats view — with a history log, trend indicators, and targets.
🏆
Milestones Promotions, anniversaries, special recognition, or any moment worth marking.

How to use it

1
Add a win when it happens Don't wait for review season. Every time something good happens — a kind ticket, a metric hit, a shout-out in Slack — add a card immediately while the details are fresh.
2
Tag it and add context Add period tags (Q1, Oct, etc.), set an impact level, and choose from detailed tag groups — Feedback Type, Learning Type, Initiative, Recognition Type, Work Type, and your own custom tags. Attach a checklist or links, paste in the customer quote or Slack screenshot, and pin your best wins so they're always at the top.
3
Filter, ask Claude, and export Use the filter shelf to zero in on exactly what you need — by period, impact level, tag group, or custom tag. Open the board in Claude AI to get help writing your self-review or building talking points. Then export to PDF, CSV, clipboard, or a shareable read-only link for your manager.

Key features

📊
Stats tracking Log quantitative metrics over time with a full history, trend indicators (↑ ↓), and optional targets.
⚗️
Filter shelf Narrow cards by tag group (Feedback, Learning, Initiative, Recognition, Work Type), impact level, period, pinned status, or custom tags — all at once.
🔥
Impact levels Mark wins as High, Medium, or Low impact so your most meaningful accomplishments are always findable.
📌
Pin to top Pin your 2–3 biggest wins on each board so they float to the top and are always the first thing you see.
🗂️
Multi-board support Keep separate boards by role, time period, or review cycle. Switch between them instantly from the toolbar.
📋
Review Mode Switch to a document-style view of your board with a one-click "Copy for Review" button — plus Ask Claude prompts to help write your self-review, find themes, build talking points, or spot gaps.
🔗
Share & export Export to PDF, CSV, or clipboard. Generate a shareable read-only link to send to a manager or peer.
Why this matters for job searching too: A well-maintained Brag Board is the foundation of every strong cover letter, resume bullet, and behavioral interview answer. If you're actively job hunting, these are your STAR stories — filtered by impact level, sorted by period, ready to copy and paste.
